Because of our large catchment area, our students nearly all travel long distances on crowded overheated buses.  For that reason, and due to concern about our capacity to maintain an environment conducive to effective study in such high temperatures (particularly in the older accommodation in the school) we are advising parents to keep their child at home to study via WCHS Remote Schooling on Monday  18 and Tuesday 19 July 2022.

Where students cannot be accommodated at home, they will be supervised to learn on-line in school.  Parents are directed to the letter sent home on Saturday 16 July and the need to use the linked form to inform us of any student attending school on those days.

Should there be a significant change in the operational Heatwave alert, further communication would follow.  Otherwise we look forward to welcoming everyone  back to their co-curricular day activities on Wednesday as we head to the conclusion of  what has been an unusual but highly productive academic year.

Yours sincerely
