IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING STRIKE ACTION ON WEDNESDAY 26 MARCH 2014

A risk assessment of the impact of strike action at Woodford by the largest teaching union (NUT) next Wednesday has been completed.  Supervision levels will not be sufficient to ensure student safety and therefore the decision has been taken that the school will be closed to students in Years 7 – 11 on Wednesday 26 March 2014.

School will be open for students in Years 12 and 13 who will be expected to attend the timetabled lessons which they have been informed will run.  The Year 12 Biology Conference trip will go ahead as scheduled.

School resumes for everyone as normal on Thursday 27 March Friday 18 October 2013.

I am aware that a school closure of any kind presents parents with practical difficulties and I’m sorry for the inconvenience caused.
