TEACHER OF CHEMISTRY (Maternity Cover)

Required for September 2025, a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Science to teach Chemistry in this lively and high-achieving girls’ selective school. The vacancy arises from maternity leave anticipated to run from September 2025 to May 2026.
Chemistry is taught throughout the school. Students take Triple Science at GCSE and the majority go on to study A-Level sciences. We promote STEM opportunities for girls and would expect the colleague appointed to work actively towards this aim. Our state of the art Science facilities (Sept 2017) include an astronomy dome and tracking telescope. We are a well resourced school.
In its recent Ofsted inspection Quality of Education and Sixth Form Provision at Woodford were judged ‘outstanding’ (November 2022). WCHS encourages a wide range of extra-curricular activities. It provides a friendly working environment and offers established programmes of teacher induction and CPD.
