We congratulate every one of our A-Level candidates. We are very proud of their achievements.
2017 A-Level Exam Results
It’s not only students who suffer exam day jitters in August. In a time of enormous curriculum change, teachers who came into school this morning to congratulate their charges were (for the most part) evaluating the results of the very first cohort examined on the new linear A-Levels. It was an enormous relief to all concerned therefore, to see just how well our 2017 A-Level candidates have done.
76% of the 540 exam entries this year were awarded A* to B grades with 16% achieving the top A* grade designed to recognise the highest levels of achievement. Six girls achieved a clean sweep of A* grades across all their subjects and a total of 45 students had straight A* / A grades.
Woodford students will be taking up places at universities all over Britain in October. 5 girls have places confirmed at Oxford or Cambridge and to date 23 places for medicine and dentistry have been secured.
We congratulate every one of our A-Level candidates. We are very proud of their achievements.
